MetaImpact Event Recap
Energy CX had the privilege of hosting our annual fundraiser for Meta24, a nonprofit dedicated to providing education and entrepreneurial opportunities to at-risk youth in Chicago. The event, MetaImpact, brought together a community of leaders, educators, and supporters with one goal: to uplift and empower young people through Meta24.
Flavian Prince Ed.D., CEO of Meta24, expressed, “By joining forces with Energy CX, we aim to inspire action and foster innovative solutions that benefit our communities. The initiatives and engagement of our program is a testament to what can be accomplished when given the chance and the encouragement.”
MetaImpact, which aims to invest in our youth, has been a powerful influence on us at Energy CX, demonstrating how a thoughtful, hands-on approach to education can transform lives.
“Seeing what these young adults have accomplished fuels our mission to help them pursue their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs,” said Miles Rice, Co-CEO. “Meta24’s model, which combines technology with personalized learning, aligns with our belief in preparing the next generation with essential skills and opportunities.”
25-year-old Jorge Mercado is a testament to what kind of opportunities the organization has provided. “Meta24 helped me go from incarceration to working in the Union 196 and earning a livable wage,” said Mercado, who started the first Mzuzi store in Chicago and made a full corn hole and bass game.
18-year old Martrell Martin said he agrees the experience has been incredible: “Meta24 has changed the way I view my ability to use technology, start my own business and make real money,” he said of his 3D printed STEM toys.
